Number of leaves in a stock pack??

On the 'burban that I have, the guy says the suspension was stock. It had 35" tires on it, and they didn't rub. Has a little of the mother nature lift too. But I've seen stock 4wd trucks and they don't seem to sit this high. I think it has 5 or 6 leaves in the front, and 6 or 7 in the rear. It has a block in the rear, but it looks something like the factory would use, it has the shock bolted to it, and is rather heavy duty.

HD leafs = 7
normal = 5

If it has a blocks in the rear it is not factory. BTW, 1/2T Burbs had 7 leafs.

They are not aftermarket, but maybe off another make/model of truck. These aren't cheasy aluminum blocks. I will take a pic of it and post it. If burbs have 7 stock, then I guess this thing is at normal stance, inless someone put lift springs in the front and the blocks in the rear.....

my experience

Stock suburban in my experience has 2 leaves stock in front and 5 in rear. My new HD replacements have 3 in front and 7 in rear. I'm fairly certian fronts on these trucks were never over 3 leaves. My old ones sit down like a 2 wheeler!!

I think someone put in a lift kit over the years on this. I put the rear axle in last nite, and counted the leaves. It has 5 in the front, and now that I remember, I forgot to count the rear. It's not a super think pack, guessing 5 or 6. It has lift blocks in it, but like I said in the first post, they are no way aftermarket, cheasy aluminum blocks. I thought they were factory cause the shocks mount on them. They are very heavy duty, and guessing they weigh close to 10 pounds. I would change the front springs out, but they are different length than the newer ones. I'm gonna leave it the way it is for now, put some 33s on it, and if it looks funny then I will find some springs to put in the front.
