Auto Trans Shift Linkage

Now I know why GM designed the multipart shift linkage for auto transmissions. Mine was really sloppy so I replaced mine with a Lokar setup and now the column shift lever bounces around and moves on hard acceleration. Thinking about the cable retrofit from Lokar. Has anyone used this and what are your comments.

TIA
