What is this on the back of my rear drum

Is this the emergency brake cable hold down? Can I undo the two bolts and just take it off? I am changing my leaf springs and need to move that cable out of the way so it doesnt get torn off on accident. Any help would be great.

Yes, you can unbolt it, but you also have to disconnect the actual inner cable from the parking brake/show lever (located in the drum) before you can completely pull it away.

Yes. Those 2 bolts hold the cable on. There are nuts on the other side so you will need to pull off the drum. If you want to remove the cable disconnect the cable from the lever that is attached to the shoe.
