Any paint experts here?

I’m going to paint my jet boat soon, I have a gallon of white urethane I’d like to use, I’m going to paint the boat to match my truck and would like to tint the white paint a red/orange, is it possible to tint plain white paint? I have a friend who has tints for this paint but I don’t want to ruin the paint if it won’t work.

Thanks! I don’t think I ever noticed the body paint section! I’ll do so!

Re: Any paint experts here?

I think any red orange color added to white will make it pink. Maybe a tint in the clearcoat.....if you have the white, try a teaspoon of white and a drop of color.

From what I’ve learned today I think you’re right!
After I found it would take a lot of colorant I looked through my paint cabinet and found two gallons of red urethane, going to play with tinting it tomorrow and see what I can come up with! I had forgot a friend of mine gave me about ten gallons of urethane auto paint last year, all were mixed slightly wrong. Have enough paint to paint a fleet of trucks! Can’t believe I forgot about all that paint!
