1998 z-71 brake pedal mushy

I am new to this site and am happy to have any help that is out there!! I recently bought a 1998 Z-71 and it has some brake problems! I thought when i bought it that it was probably something easy but now think it is a technical issue!! The truck appears to have a new Booster, brake pads and shoes, Possibly a new or (used salvage yard piece) ABS kelsey hayes module! I did notice that it does have a fitting that is on right hand front brake line and it appears that it is not leaking though! It is a Brass fitting though instead of a flare fitting but i still see nothing wrong with it as long as it is not leaking! I did notice tonight as i changed my master cylinder and was bleeding my brake that the rh front outer cv boot is leaking and throwing grease on that wheel end! Can the wheel sensor be reading incorrectly without the abs light coming on? I have only seen wheel speed sensor problems and the light would catch the problem and illuminate! To let you know how far the pedal goes down---- If you put one foot underneath the pedal while depressing it, the pedal will touch the top of your foot on the floor! SEVERAL people have told me that the new trucks have mushy pedals and not to worry!!
Another thing is that if you can make the abs pulsate by getting on the brakes hard the pedal will seem to be stiffer for a few presses then back to normal!! Hope all this info is not too much, just thought that i would give it all while i was typing!!! Thanks!!!!!!!
