Parchment interior questions
I’m redoing my 69 gmc 1500 interior to match a 72 Sierra grande with parchment interior. I’ve checked a few posts but cannot find a definent answer. With parchment is this what the interior would look like
Dashpad - sandalwood Carpet - sandlewood Seat - off white Door panels - off white with woodgrain Insert Wood grain cluster and glove box. Black steering wheel and column (going with a tilt) Visors - off white Seat belts - off white. On top of this which SEM color would be close enough to match the Sandlewood color for the dashpad Thanks. |

Re: Parchment interior questions
Most '72s with parchment w/tilt got a black dash pad and carpet, but apparently there are a few exceptions that used sandalwood. But I have only seen that in '71s

Re: Parchment interior questions
Thanks. I saw your thread over matching saddle with SEM colors. Have you ever tried to match sandlewood?

Re: Parchment interior questions
No, I haven't. But I have had my paint supply house mix the light beige '92 color they scanned off a piece I took in. It's a close match to sandalwood. But if you have a piece of sandalwood to get scanned you could get it custom mixed.
I wish I still had a can of that off the shelf saddle close match still. I need more of it. I never installed the door panels, so may just scan a GM saddle piece, get custom mix, and redo everything again

Re: Parchment interior questions
The original dash pad in my parchment 72 interior is the light brown/sandlewood/saddle. Arm rests appear to be same brown that was re-colored to parchment.

Re: Parchment interior questions
My original dash pad was black in my 72 Sierra Grande. Orange and white exterior, parchment interior.

Re: Parchment interior questions
Thanks for the pictures. My parts truck is a 72 GMC with the same color combo and interior but a sandalwood manual column. I think it's possible that trucks received a black column if they had the houndstooth seat cover.
