Under Bed Spare Tire Mount ?
Was wondering if you can adapt a later type to our trucks ?

I think he means the cable type. I dont see why you couldn't. Just have to put a crossmember thing for it to mount to.

Just finished installing one in my '67, No big deal. Bought the hoist off amazon, welded a bracket under the bed to mount it on. Worst part was drilling the hole through the rear crossmember and bumper for the crank rod. Also, watch what size spare tire you use. Can't be real tall if you want it to fit up under the bed.

I did the same as RSGT's thread. A few differences but mostly the same. I also used a Dodge Caravan spare wheel with a skinny space saver size tire so it tucks completely out of sight.
