Will 1/2 ton leaf springs fit 3/4 ton??

1969 GMC 3/4 rear leafs.
I'm sure this has been asked like a trillion times so please forgive me. But the search didnt help much.
So I did the measurements 2.25" wide and 52" long. It's a retired work truck so I dont need the load capacity anymore. Removed 2 leafs from both sides but didn't give me the drop I wanted.
So if 1/2 ton springs fit, I could buy lowering leaf springs.
Also noticed the the axle isnt centered either under the leaf springs.
Thanks.

If I remember correctly this will work, width and length are the same you are good to go. Also you could use lowering shackles if fuel tank is not in the rear... and Axle is forward of center on the spring......Frame looks sweet BTW.....Hammerite is also good stuff, may not be flat black.

Thanks for the reply. Almost everywhere I look always says C10 and almost never gives measurements. Good to know 1/2 ton springs will work. And seems like if that's the case, drop shackles sould work too. But dang, gonna relocate the gas tank to under the bed. Seems like lowering springs than.
Gonna paint the frame this weekend. I just hope I remember where everything was installed on the frame. LOL. I'll check out Hammerite though.
