Just found this short Super while out riding the back roads. Trucks like this make a good argument for the "experts" who tell you that Supers came with all the bells and whistles. Not for sale - I tried!!

These pickups were bought mostly by men that went through the Great Depression. Some were more frugal than others and I imagine some were dealer ordered that way ,too. It was a chore for these people to have something to put in their belly when they were young and they never forgot that. I suppose they wanted a nice pickup without all the frills. I guess we are awful fortunate today.
