LMC/Heartthrob exhaust system question
I have the whole system for my LWB, SS C-10...kit#4143SK. Anyone who installed this kit, i have 2 questions for original ram horns:
1) Which down tube goes on the drivers side....long sweep one or short sweep? Called heartthrob and they said short steep goes on DS, not sounding to confident, their instructions say opposite. 2) Did you use the heat riser.....I don't need it and already gutted it if it needs to go in to make it fit? Trying to minimize being on my back with limited room to install the kit.

Re: LMC/Heartthrob exhaust system question
Being the ADD person I am I got under the truck and swapped them to both sides. And the short sweep goes best on the Passenger side and longer sweep drivers side. As far as the heat riser i won't know until it's all together. Hoping this helps someone else if they purchase the same kit....and use the search.

Re: LMC/Heartthrob exhaust system question
Thank you for the info.
I was replacing the paper cardboard glovebox insert, then ended up finding a scratch inside my #3 cylinder.... I'm sure the exauhst will get replaced soon. I sure hope there is a slowing down point ahead somewhere!

Re: LMC/Heartthrob exhaust system question
For others that may need info on the kit:
I have the kit installed and over all happy with the outcome. I did not use the gutted out heat riser on the passenger side....it brought the down tube to low to the ground for my comfort. . The instructions say to use it , as mentioned I did not and made the pipe a little short to get to the muffler, i was able to make it up by extending all the connections a little more at each clamp. Would of been very difficult to do on my back but i had access to a lift.
