Re: My New Truck

Having those pictures of your truck's history with your family is exceedingly cool. We have a few bits and pieces of our Suburbans in photos over the years but the rigs are long gone.

Yes LT7A, yes both of my parents questioned why I wanted the truck. But since it has been in the family forever and IMO-this is the BEST design styled truck GM EVER produced, plus, I have always had a soft spot for these Squarebody trucks.

Of course these trucks were notorious rust, fortunately, when the weather got bad this truck sat and stayed parked. Thus it didn't get the cancer so many got!

I think the 75-76 grill is one of the best looking grills GM made and of course NOBODY re pops them.

Grill came out of a salvage yard and had the typical break near the hood handle (release). It looked really bad but I got it for a decent price. Chrome stripes will be added soon. I scored a really nice set of chrome stripes, off of partsvoice.com for less than 1/2 what they are going for on ebay.
Cool truck. I love the old pictures!

Re: My New Truck

Ok, the 8000 RPM tach install is officially under way. Many thanks to fellow member cdub2010 for lending me a hand in helping get these faces made up.

cdub2010 was super helpful, in getting started by stating lets give it a try and print them up and see if we can make this work. So we are in the thick of it. Now to tweak the tach face a little.

Re: My New Truck

Here is the Summit Racing tach I purchased to install behind the fuel gauge as the new tach face. Then with the Bosch tach face removed. Mock up of Bosch tach on the Fuel gauge.
