brakes are squeaking.
my driver side front brake is squeaking every once in a while. when i am coming to a stop sometimes it will squeak and sound like the big UPS/fedex trucks do when they stop.
i changed the pads right before i changed the rear shoes. they are ceramic pads and i put the little blue grease around the metal to metal parts to help with the squealing. |

When you changed the pads did you have the rotors turned? When you put new pads on a glazed rotot they will squeal.

You may try to rough up the rotors with some 80 grit. Try to sand out from the center. This sometimes will work to "break the glaze" and may work for you. If you installed the pads on rotors with any time on them, the rotors are more than likely groved which will make it very hard to get the new pads to seat. But give it a shot.

Yup, sounds like glazing. If it helps you feel better, it only costs a few bucks to get 'em turned. It's actually cheaper to get a rotor turned than a wheel balanced here in Bel Air. Strange, but true...

rotors turned with worn pads means un-even pressure and new hot spots and glazing. Use the sandpaper.
Also, it could be the pad itself sliding around a bit in the caliper. Mine do that.
