Drivers manifold and a boxed frame

I have the usual ls swapped lq4 into a 71" I boxed the frame so no drivers manifold with fit off the donor truck. Passenger side isn't a problem cause it has a turbo on it. I was going to weld on a v band and cut and grind off the flange. But after cutting off the outer part of the flange it hits no matter what. So mu question is what are guys using? I could use a trail blazer manifold that seems to go straight down or any shorty header. I'm looking for something that is known too work at least alitle better than the 02 manifold.

Not knowing what an LQ4 is or what is available for it all I can say is that I used the Hooker cast iron headers on my '99 Camaro LS1 engine in the '67 Panel Truck with no issues. Bought them off of an E-bay vendor.

trailblazer SS or LS3 manifolds are the usual go-tos
I think the hookers Leon showed are aftermarket copies of them

Im in a squarebody, so probably different, but I can confirm that the TBSS/Envoy/Reinier manifolds hug tighter to the block and have a better chance of clearing for you. I got mine for under $80 for the pair shipped off of Ebay.

The boxed frame makes it super tight. I have the LS 3 camaro exhaust and its tight to the frame rails.
your options are to slide the engine back more as the frame gets wider. Cut the boxed area out, and plate the outside of the frame.
I can post a pic it you like, of the camaro exhaust manifold.

You could also take some schedule 40 pipe cut in half length wise and put that in the frame to add a bit more room.

edit, I just looked and the manifold clears the top of the frame rail by 3/8" The issue is the bottom of the frame rail is wider.
I'm going to be working on the exhaust today, so I will post a pic later today.

I hav to get back on it but for know I might just weld on a 3" piece of pipe and the down to 2.5" and a v band. I have my 3" tacked on and have about 3/8 of room but have to get under there and see what I'm gong to hit with the v band. I had to cut off the flange and then another 3" to make room and angle it inward alittle. Sort of ugly but not the worst I've see. But ya if this doesn't work I was eyeing up the trail blazer ones or maybe if I was feeling rich theres some fancy v band shorty headers I could by and use one but that seems like a waste. But it would look as cool as the otherside then wouldn't it..

I've got a LS mounted in the stock position on 4wd truck. I have TBSS manifolds mounted on mine. The passenger side clears fine, and would do so as well if the frame was boxed. The driver's side would definitely hit a boxed frame. The driver's manifold kicks out at the last moment, and the flange is partly within the frame rail. I'm reasonably certain I can still get a downpipe on the thing, but it's going to be a little tight and bent sharply inward to clear the lower flange on the frame.

Oh, mine will look like junk when I'm done but for a few pieces of pipe I can scab the rest together. I'll get some pics and I think I'm going to go work on it right now.
