Question Need help!!

This is a new info on my previous thread regarding power steering conversion.
I know have several stories on how to upgrade from the early ram system ( power assist) to the later pwer box.
I found two places that sell converstion kits for between $400 and $495.
One sez don't need to change the drag (center link) and the other like you guys have said , needs to change it to manual steering type link.Still another tells me I might need to cut the steering shaft down to fit the new box in.
Has any body out there dealt with either CPP (Classic Performance Parts) or The Steering Store? They both offer the retro kits . Which of course are rebuilt but include new hoses and the pitman arm. One also offers a quick steer for the same price.
Whew that's a lot of stuff here but I just don't want to buy it all and not have it work. Am, I being to picky????
Chris
