I have verified the original is a 4l60e...it does have a remanufactured tag on it already. And I agree with not wanting to risk condition of a used trans but I have been quoted $2700 for a rebuild and just financially that isn't an option for me any time soon. The trans I was looking at is still in the truck and I could drive and test it before pulling
