Between 98 to 01 there were some internal strength upgrades and also, installing a used trans is always a risk.

The original trans may well be a 4L65E with upgraded internals as it originated from a Suburban,,,,,

I have verified the original is a 4l60e...it does have a remanufactured tag on it already. And I agree with not wanting to risk condition of a used trans but I have been quoted $2700 for a rebuild and just financially that isn't an option for me any time soon. The trans I was looking at is still in the truck and I could drive and test it before pulling
