Re: Factory Tach and MSD AL6 connection
To a tach filter, then to the tach input wire?

Re: Factory Tach and MSD AL6 connection
So looking at an online wire diagram (correct part number?). Looks like the red is a power lead and the gray is a tach feed. However there is a red ignition feed.
So my guess would be that the two wires bundled together would be ignition and tach. (The reason I said tach filter is the pulses may not work for the older model tachs. Try it without the filter first then). If your going points here is the diagram, not sure of your part number though:

Ok so i found this on page 5 of 24 in the instructions. 2 large wires red and black appear to be power feeds. I think i figured that out The small red and grey are the 12v ignition and the Tach trigger wire. Its the grey trigger wire. Where exactly does this connect to?? Re: Factory Tach and MSD AL6 connection
I would think the Tach trigger is what sends the tachometer the pulses that make it read how many RPM there is.
Dont confuse that with a Crank Trigger.

Re: Factory Tach and MSD AL6 connection
There are typically four connections on a tach:
- power - ground - illumination - signal Connect grey to signal. |
