Hi folks: I'm finally back at work as of last Monday, and I'm glad to be back. That said, during my 'time off,' I've been going in to the shop at least four days every week; often more. Here's a peek at some of my 'side work':

Wow Pete...those are some nicely done projects! Your woodworking results look fantastic, and the gutter clamps look professional...but I'm getting the idea that you might have crafted those yourself!?!? A very nice alternative to the elusive "Quik N Easy" clamps for sure!

Id like to see the auxiliary battery set up but it looks like you have to sign in first.

Any way you would consider putting your pictures here on the board in your member gallery? There is no charge and wont be any problems seeing your pics for folks.

Beats having to go to other sites just to see your pics. I like the roof rack and your console.

OK:

I was a little light on descriptions:

Woody- the rack gutter mounts were rolled out of 3/16 steel strap, then cut to shape with a plasma torch. The rack itself is 1" 16 gauge tube. The slats are Hickory (left over from a job.)

CG- moved the battery pics, and put up new links in the original post.
The auxiliary battery (lower, outboard) drives the radios, exterior lights, 12v power outlets,l inverter, etc. It is isolated from the main battery, except when the engine is running (but that can be shut off with a switch.) As of yesterday, it is being constantly charged by a 160W solar panel on the aft section of the roof rack.

Getter-Done- The wood on the rack is Hickory.
The overhead console is red oak, and the panels are aluminum. There are tri-band HAM, CB, and GMRS radios stuffed in there, along with a sub-fuse panel for lights and radios, voltmeters for both batteries, outside air temp gauge, and a thermostat for the window fan...

HO455...it's a "Dog-Cooler" using a 10 inch fan for quick trips to the store. Californians are quick to assume "animal cruelty" and break out a window or two!
