New gauges came in, WHich one do I use ??
If ya'll have been following the "behind the bezel installation of Autometer gauges, You know the 3-3/8" gauges have all been discontinued from the Autometer line..
I found two on ebay, New still in Bubble wrap. Bidded, and won them both.. Out of plain curiousity.. which would you put in the old tach opening. (the center hole between the fuel gauge and speedometer on our bezels) It's the one that needs the 3-3/8" gauge. I think I'll go the Water Temp. It changes the most the quickest in stop and go traffic.. and NO, I don't want to sell one, I want it for a back up.. |

I say oil pressure, it's the one I worry about the most!

I agree with Krue, oil pressure is the most critical!

I'm already overly consious of my water temp gauge . That would drive me crazy. I always expect my stuff to overheat here in Texas, is it the same in Nevada? Maybe get dummy light bezel, cut and put them down low. Still have room for a tach up top.

Yes I have 4.... Two drivers side Without spare cutout, and two passenger sides. One drivers side is a Primo (Very small dings, no sign of rust) TEXAS ( thought you'd like that) sheetmetal. I bought it from Texas Gary.. The other drivers side has some bondo in it along with a small rusted through area where it bolts up to the steps. the one passenger side one is as nice as the good drivers side, The other passenger one is a match for the second drivers side one.. It has some bondo but I don't remember any rust. I think I have another passenger side one around here also.. I have 2 tailgates, Neither one of them Perfect, but one is factory chevy, Not in bad shape, the other is one that someone started putting the louvered section in.. PM or email me if you want some pictures... Woodgeard@earthlink.net |

I guess I'm different, I would prefer water in the center. I'm more concerned about overheating because I already know I have good oil pressure. Just my 2 cents. I like those gauges.
