Radiator support problem

So I went to install the bottom bushing that hold radiator in and to my surprise they don’t fit. The new radiator support seems to be not as wide at bottom, I was wondering if anyone had an issue like this. I will take some pictures in the morning to see what you think before I start grinding on it

Re: Radiator support problem

You can't drill the holes out wide enough to make it fit?

Re: Radiator support problem

.
So the bottom rubber "slot" in your support isn't big enough to accept the rubber bushing?

Re: Radiator support problem

Think you are talking about installing the lower radiator retainers in a new core support or one that is missing them. If you are using the HD or 4 row retainers you will need to flatten the inner edge of the core support for them to fit. Might even have to tweak a bit for the 3 row retainers. Don't grind, just flatten the lip.
Forgot about my old core support in the side yard. Added a pic, hope this helps
