Upper radiator hose

This might be a long shot, but is anyone here running a 7.4 vortec with 4 row radiator? I'm having a nasty time finding an upper radiator hose.

I tried one for a 96 7.4 in a c2500 and it might have worked if it were about 6 inches shorter before turning and heading to the radiator, and had the larger end there.

Any suggestions other than cutting and splicing? The inlet housing points straight up...it's the only way it can go. ORielys is about to kick me out from going to the back and digging through their stock.

Re: Upper radiator hose

Can't quite picture what you need. My 70ss has a LC9 installed. this engine has the variable timing mechanism up front which puts it close to radiator. Also has VA one belt drive with high capacity water pump which exits toward radiator so I had to get hose with a 90 very close to end. Found hose below. Also the water pump had a smaller fitting than the radiator so I had to get a reducer which is below.

Gate makes these in 3 lengths - don't know the other numbers.

Hope this helps.

hose Gates 25808 1 1/2”

reducer Gates 26390 1 1/2” to 1 1/4”

The 25808 won't work. I need the hosed to come straight up from the housing, then go behind the a/c compressor, then it can turn towards and straight into the radiator.

My 99 crew cab with a towing package.

Wonder if the 98 tahoe 350 would work

Found one!! Gates 20983 which looks just like the one in your second picture. I would prefer the one in the first picture but you didn't say what motor that is?

The lower hose seems to be harder to find than the upper now
