Will a set of 2003 hd wheels fit my K20??

I have a set of 2003 hd wheels, just wondering if they would fit on my K20. I think it has a donor front end out of a 73ish truck with 1/4 turn hubs.

Thanks for the help

David

They fit the 2X4s so there isn't any reason that they won't fit the 4X4s. You will need to buy the conversion lug nuts though if you are talking about the aluminum ones. WES www.ClassciHeartbeat.com

I tried to put wheels off a '95 gmc suburban on my 67 gmc p/u...95 a 4wd and the 67 a 2wd...and the 6 lugs looked they would line up okay, but the actual center hole the hub or whatever goes through wasn't big enough. It only liked a hair, but I couldn't get it to work and was afraid to start grinding material out to fix it. If you have to buy wheels for this, make sure to test fit them to ensure they work b4 you're out a bunch of money and still no luck. Yours may work--everything on my junker seems messed up and out of line a little. Good luck.

The 1/2 ton wheels have a smaller I.D. for the center hole, but the 3/4 tons do not. The 1/2ton wheels will not work without spacers either, because the back spacing is not right. The rear might, but the fronts definetly will not. WES www.ClassicHeartbeat.com

wes

Wes;

Doi you still have pics of the truck you had setup that way and what it took to get center caps mounted up and looking right? If I remember therer was a trick or 2 to get center caps right. What does a set of wheels like that cost on the used market?

Thanks guys

now that you mention it, i do remember that blue truck that Wes posted, they looked so good that they looked like they were made to fit a 72. I was worried that the middle of the wheel would be too small, or that the back spacing would be all jacked up.

I already have a set, but i think i see them listed on ebay for 400-650/set without tires.

thanks again guys

David

I do not have those pictures any more. Sorry Bob. You may be able to find them in the archives. What you need to do is to use the standard 3/4 ton caps for the front and the Duelly caps for the rear. You also need to get the correct outside threaded lug nuts for your aplication. WES www.ClassicHeartbeat.com

I know the center holes on the steel`88-00 8-lug wheels are too small to fit over the original`72 K20 front hubs.
