Shifter linkage quick fix?
Looking for a quick fix for this link edge shifter. It keeps falling off I’m not sure what happened I don’t know how many screws or washers I may need to go on it. But I was in traffic when I came off the other day very embarrassing or is there a part number is for a new one

Re: Shifter linkage quick fix?
Your spring assembly on the transmission side should be on the other side of the bell crank. So the spring pressure is keeping the two parts engaged. If you google picture of automatic shift linkage an a c-10 you will see what I'm referring to. The bell crank is the part between the frame and the transmission that the column linkage attaches to. Take the spring off and put it on the other side of the bell crank. Good to go.

Awesome thank you I knew something looked funny I’ve just been having so many problems that I’m probably overlooking things. And once the pipes cool down I’ll get under there!

Re: Shifter linkage quick fix?
Not a problem. Looked at mine real close. It was good but the motor mount wasn’t, when the motor rolled the linkage separated. It’s right now.
