Definitely like to see the dyno run and numbers. It would be great to see what kind of torque your getting with the new motor.

Re: 1971 C20 "LS Swap"
As of right now it is at 397 hp @ 4300 rpm, and torque was in the 380's at the rear tires, after the second dyno run. The motor ran out of injectors, and the trans lost a shift solenoid. Put a set of 42 lbs injectors and replaced all the shift solenoids, and now I'm waiting on the tuner to get it back on the dyno.

Re: 1971 C20 "LS Swap"
That's going to be a dam good running truck. Almost 400hp at the wheels and 15-18 mpg ain't bad. What kind of mode did you do?

Re: 1971 C20 "LS Swap"
What I know for sure is that it has a Brain Tooley Stage 3 Truck cam, 42 lbs injectors, 3" stainless exhaust. One of my buddy's builds engines, so I had him build the motor and having his business partner tune it. I'm not 100% what all they have done to the motor and tune. Hopefully I'll have the final dyno run and results in the next day or two.

Re: 1971 C20 "LS Swap"
Well, after having some injector issues, we finally have the truck tuned and ready to rock and roll. Final numbers are 401 hp and 408 tq at the rear wheels. Now all this cold and snow need to disappear so we can have some fun with the truck.

Re: 1971 C20 "LS Swap"
Thanks, I hope my step dad drive the heck out of it once the weather clears up around here. I'd recommend a BTR (Brian Tooley Racing) Truck cams, this motor has a stage 3 truck cam in it.

Re: 1971 C20 "LS Swap"
We put the truck to work this weekend, made it earn its keep. The highway department cut a bunch of trees and branches along the road down and left everything in the front yard. I took my work truck to help my step dad out and he insisted we us the '71. Very happy with all the upgrades we made.

Re: 1971 C20 "LS Swap"
A little update on the old girl. We ran into a fuel issue with the duel tanks starving the inline fuel pump. So I'm in process of re doing the fuel system on it, the passenger side tank will have a intake pump and will be the primary tank. The driver side tank will have a booster pump that will pump into the passenger side tank.
Before we had a issue with it, drove it about 55 miles down to a cars and coffee event. It only used about 2 gallons of gas which averaged about 27ish mpg. That was a cruise speed on average of 55 mph. To figure we filled the tank before we left and when we left the event stopped and topped that tank off just to find out how much gas we used. Can't express how happy we are with the power the truck makes and the fuel mileage it has. Can't wait to get the fuel system re configured and drive it again!

Re: 1971 C20 "LS Swap"
Just realized that this was here. Probably too late now, but I used the oil pan that comes on a 6.0 out of a Yukon.
