More dually wheel questions.

First off I just realized I’m woefully short on lug nuts. Ideas on where to get this kind?

Secondly I have no real idea on the reasons for these rings. The tires I purchased are of a size I should not need any sort of spacer between the rims to avoid the rubber rubbing against each other. Also these nubs? My new steel 16 inch rims have no provisions for them. Ideas on where to get these rings?

I’m new to the dually world and apparently I’m a crappy google searcher because I’m missing the info out on the www. Thanks for any help.

Re: More dually wheel questions.

According to that info (if Im reading it correctly) the lug nuts I have so far negate the reason for having the rings.

Re: More dually wheel questions.

According to my notes as long as your wheels have a 4.56" hub diameter, they will bolt up to pre-2001 hubs with the flat-faced lug nuts you have. Hub-centric. No need for the clamping (alignment) rings. As I was learning this, I took a close look at my P30 19.5" wheels, which had a nice tight 4.56" hub bore, and fairly sloppy lug openings. So you don't need the clamping rings, and you don't want acorn nuts.

Here are my notes (no guarantees lol!):
- my 19.5" wheels: 4.56" bore, 0.53-0.58" bolt holes (not perfect)
- Lug info: -70 drums and 1/2-20 lugs, 71+ discs and 9/16-18 lugs
- Axle info: -2000 4.56" hubs, 2001+ 4.60" hubs
- Lug nut info: all have flat washer lug nuts and hub-centric, or can use cone nuts and clamping plates

Re: More dually wheel questions.

Oh, and yeah I believe your statement is correct. They are harder to find, but you should have some luck looking for "flange" lug nuts.

Re: More dually wheel questions.

Alcoa sells them for their dually rims. I bought 32 of them for my K30. They were/are expensive at like $6 each when I got them.

Thumbs up Re: More dually wheel questions.

I ordered a set of these lug-nuts for the 86 front end which is the factory nut for the Ramp truck front wheels so I can install the hub caps I bought.
These where $1.99 each off the website.

O-Rielly's wanted $5.00 each.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.
