Squeaky brakes
Squeaky front disc brakes on my 79 C10. Before i grease them. Ha ha Thought i would check with you guys.
Pull pads off and scuff with some 26 sand paper? Scuff rotor? Spray with anti squeak spray? Grease the contact areas of the caliper? Thoughts Thanks. Posted via Mobile Device Last edited by chrismoore701; 07-07-2020 at 09:39 PM. |

Re: Squeaky brakes
Get yourself some disc brake anti-squeak paste from the parts store. It goes on the back sides of the pads.

Re: Squeaky brakes
What kind of pads do you have on there, sometimes the cheap semi-metallic squeak an through a lot of duct. I use ceramic pads on all my vehicles

Re: Squeaky brakes
When was the last time they were changed. The squeak may just be the little warning thing that says that they need changed.

Re: Squeaky brakes
5000 miles. Pulled them off. Scuffed the pads and the rotor. Greased the pins and sprayed anti-squeak on the back. Problem solved.
