Man, I don't know how you got yours ready for paint in 10 hours..... My truck was straight when I started on it and I have atleast 30 hours or so of work in it and I still don't think it's ready for paint. Then again I did shave my truck down of trim, emblems and took everything off of the truck. Are you really going to paint over all the emblems? IMO if you are you should really think about not doing that. Painting over things that can be pulled of easily is IMO really tacky.

take a flat putty knife and a hammer and pop them off of there. The end result will look alot nicer

I was talkin about the fender emblems BTW the rest can be accsesed from the back of them and unbolted.

i was thinking that the side emblems and the hood lettering would really stand out as white against the blue background with maybe blue filling in the chevy emblem
it wasnt laziness but a look im going for

ok, The only reason that I was saying it is tacky is because you are going to have paint buildup along the edges of the emblems. If you ever have to take them off you are probably going to chip the paint. It would really be worth it to paint the truck while they are off. Touching up paint chips isn't fun.

I do agree with taking the emblems off first. And even the door handles if you get a few seconds. Oh well, I wish mine was covered in primer and waiting for paint!?! Be sure to take some more progress and finished pix for us!!
