Tell me about this dash
I've seen thousands of AD truck cabs and never seen gauge openings like this before. WTH?

Re: Tell me about this dash
Smaller aftermarket gauges used? f you zoom in the RH round opening has a ring which suggests a cup like LH opening or gauge trim ring was against the primer.

Re: Tell me about this dash
If that dash has been modified then I want the name of the bodyman because those gauge holes are absolutely seamless, right down to equal rust.

Re: Tell me about this dash
Dash has had several mods.
Filled radio opening and edge of speaker opening cut out for larger head unit. Someone took time to cut exact fit filler panels for the gauges and probably for the radio opening.

Re: Tell me about this dash
Also notice firewall mounted clutch and brake. Definitely not someone afraid of making changes.
I think that's brown primer not rust? I tried a few attempts to find out what vehicle the dash may have come from but no luck. Last edited by 1project2many; 07-14-2020 at 05:14 PM. |

Re: Tell me about this dash
Probably a street rod truck in the 70's or 80's that got shoved off to the way side at some time or other. Most likely done to put an aftermarket speedo and tach in it. Probably with a 4 gauge panel under the dash for the rest of the gauges.
