Altman door latch and interior lock

I have the Altman bear claw latches and they work great. The doors never closed so smooth. But... does anyone have pics or anything on either hooking up an electric actuator to lock the door or a inside lock?

If you can imagine this, flipped to the inside of the door, this is what I did:

I was thinking of something on the line of these electric suicide door latches http://www.carolinacustom.com/pages/..._kits_page.jsp

That would take a system to actuate them though.

Re: Altman door latch and interior lock

what ever you do make sure you can get in the vehicle with a dead battery
bicycle brake cables work well for safety cables
they can be routed thru doors and under the hood

Re: Altman door latch and interior lock

dont be stupid and not give yourself a mechanical way out either. I had a friend with a 54 F100 he bought and had a electrical fire inside the cab in the door wiring. could not get the window or door open as both were electric, almost killed him. So its not whether you can get in, its whether you can get out!!!!!
