Re: Help with the size of hubcap

I never needed to measure a hubcap. Same size as 1/2t trucks is all I know. Other than Corvair and other smaller car wheels like early ChevyII, you have the car/half ton truck size and you have the 8-lug size, bigger obviously and obviously bigger. My first '72 I bought in '73 I put those same hubcaps on 8"/10" steel wheels. I've read that the car/half ton caps are 10 1/4" I think it was. They will fit any 5 or 6-lug GM truck with nub style wheels.

Here are '54s mounted on the rollers under my '67 project. I beleve they were the first nub-type Chevy caps

Re: Help with the size of hubcap

10-1/8 is Ford and Chevy small cap (1/2 ton and car)
11-7/8 is Ford and Chevy big cap (3/4 and 1 ton)

Basically, Ford and Chevy interchange. Dodge cars had a smaller cap. Not sure about the Mopar trucks.
