Grille Mounting Issue
Hello! I'm having an issue mounting a stock grill on my truck. '78 Chevy K10 but I bought a '79 grill because I liked the way it looked and it appeared that the mounting was the same. The grill I took off was a rusty steel tube grill that looked just terrible. When I put the stock grill on, I only have the center mounts to screw into but nothing on either side. The radiator core support looks intact, but the mounting is set back at least a couple inches from the center support. Am I missing a piece somewhere? I can't find anything on LMC or Brothers... Thanks for any advice!

Re: Grille Mounting Issue
THE BRACKETS on your old tube grill not quit right but could be used with some mods around the area of the grill screw's just notch the steel for a plastic screw clips in the size of your screws. (LMC 30-0815 Anchor nuts I be leave there is 4)
There going to have to be test fit to get the right height for the bends, then nothch out the steel for the anchor nut to slide in to to line up with the grill screw holes there. un less you have or can get the two brackets.

Re: Grille Mounting Issue
I had considered taking that old bracket and bolting on a piece of angle iron but I was worried that might look kinda janky... and may not work... I haven't been to a junk yard yet to see what the original set up looked like. I was just a little confused that if there was indeed an additional bracket there, why nobody sells one...

Re: Grille Mounting Issue
I not sure if any one sell them any more. 75-80 trucks have them

Re: Grille Mounting Issue
If you painted then black or dark gray they would blend in like the factory did. there is some pic on here some place if you look.
