Re: 1969 C10 project

Nice spring day to roll it outside! Fuel tank all in and now loaded up on a trailer and taking to shop for some exhaust. Progress picking up, seems almost downhill from here now.

Re: 1969 C10 project

Exhaust mounted up and done. Nothing fancy, just dumped it right before the rear end. Super happy with the results on it though, shop did a great job.

With the exhaust done I put in the Sniper EFI unit this weekend. Have to say, install was quite simple and went smooth. Hit the key and it fired right up.

A couple key things to do yet but might be able to take this unit for a drive around the yard next weekend!

Re: 1969 C10 project

Nearing the end on this. Bled the brakes and took a pic after washing it after. Things to do before taking it for a test run

1) Hook up throttle linkage
2) Finish wiring in the torque converter lock up
3) Need a couple fittings and to secure the trans cooler
4) Some wire clean up/tidying up under the hood

One thing I'm not particularly happy about is the rear wheels tuck in too much for my liking now that I can see how it looks with the bed on. I don't want to run spacers, need to think on it.

Re: 1969 C10 project

I'm going to throw a cover on this seat and put it in the truck. Hard to believe how well preserved this thing is. There was an old cover on it which is what saved it.

Re: 1969 C10 project

Been chipping away at little things here and there. I scored a completely re-done 72 rear end! 3.73, posi to boot! So going to swap that in and will solve my rear tire tuck problem.

Truck turned out really nice. You worked fast, hope you get it out and enjoy all your hard work.

Thanks! Plan is to drive the wheels off of it. No fancy paint job on this one so it will be used and enjoyed!

Swapped in the rear end, so this is the final look. Quite happy with how it all turned out!
