Need help with glass and a gauge part
I'm getting glass for my cab cut by a friend of mine who has a glass shop locally. Have all original pieces for templates except for the back glass. I have 2/3 of a piece. Balance of it disintegrated when removed years ago. Can anyone give me the width (left to right) of the back glass at it's widest point? This is for a '51 if it makes a difference.
Also, I'm modifying my stock speedo by substituting a electronic Speed Hut unit for the original. I'm hoping someone has an old cluster gauge mask they can part with the center piece circled in red in the pic. Condition of rest of the mask is unimportant as long as that center piece, especially the chrome ring, is in good shape. Can't use the similar piece from the speedo as that has a hole for the odometer. Don't know if masks are different throughout the years. Again, this is for a '51. Thanks in advance for any help.

Re: Need help with glass and a gauge part
Thanks Bimus! From here looks like it would work as long as those to marks I circled are just scratches in the paint and not dings. Even if they are and aren't too big I can probably flatten them. How much you want for it?

Thanks NorCalGal, exactly what I needed to know & thanks for the pic too. Very helpful. Hope I can repay the favor one day.

Re: Need help with glass and a gauge part
If you are up to waiting for the mail to get there from here I can trace one I have on a sheet of paper and send it to you. I did it for someone else a few years ago.

Re: Need help with glass and a gauge part
Took the piece I had plus the dimension to my glass guy today. He drew out a template but if he hasn't cut it yet I'll take you up on your offer. Be tomorrow before I can find out. Will let you know. Thanks.

Re: Need help with glass and a gauge part
If you have most of it her measurements should get the job done as they can flip the glass to make the pattern.
PM me your mailing address if you decide you can use it.
