Easy wire question
(*easy for someone!)
70 C10 2wd with 250. I am lengthening my harness from the firewall bulkhead connector because I did a smooth firewall and needed to re-route the connector. Within a year I am dropping in a LS3 and will use a different harness for that engine but for now I am skinning the cat by stretching the harness. Here is the only thing.... There are 2 identical purple wires, both are going into the same basic area on the bulkhead connector and are the same gauge. One could assume these wires are likely the same so it wouldnt matter if they were connected a-b or b-a. But the fact is Ive got burned (no pun) assuming electrical 'should' go. I have also seen wire striping where the stripe degrades over time. So the 2 purple wires (about 14g) in the connector. Anyone know what they are for and does it matter if they are a-b or b-a? ~JH |

Re: Easy wire question
Looking at this 68 GMC diagram that I dug out earlier for someone else ( the only difference should be the quad headlights) The two 14 gage purple wires go to the park lights
Track back from the park lights. The wires should come out of that spot on the bulkhead plug though. If you save it to your computer you can expand it so it is easier to read.
