Cab corners the hard way
I saw this today. This guy uses simple tools to do things and today he was doing a 53 cab corner. The hard way!

Re: Cab corners the hard way
i thought he was a little looped spending in his words "a couple hours" building a panel thats commonly available for 30 bucks, but when he started welding without a darkened shield (laying under what he is welding!) I realized he is completely crazy.

Re: Cab corners the hard way
I've got a buddy who used to own a hot rod/custom shop who would do that kind of stuff. Spend 8 hours fabbing something out of old scrap pieces that he could buy for 30 bucks so he could say he built it himself.
I'd be impressed if he beat the metal into shape on a shot bag and rolled it out on the wheel to get it into shape. I'd all be a lot more impressed if he used proper protective gear rather than being hung up on the Motor Trend TV deal of having his face show on camera rather than wearing proper gear.

if the panel wasn't available it might have a bit educational reminds me of building truk trunk using 2.5" aluminized exhaust tubing pie cutting to get the right shape, welded with fluxcore wire yeah, it was the hard way to do it
