just got a po141 code on my 05 silverado with a 5.3 i took out the bank one sensor 2 and it had the end knocked off of it any one have a ideal how it got knocked off like this?

The cat got excessively hot?
What does the substrate in the cat look like?

Might be worth looking in through the O2 sensor bung with a borescope.

Darn handy to see the Denso trademark with the GM 12587785 part number. Now we know who made them.

i dont have a boresight i did run a piece of wire thru the bunghole didnt feel anything in it i ordered all 4 new o2s but i have not taken out the other 3 yet will see what they may look like

i swapped out them other 3 o2s and they look fine.. but i did notice this the cat on this bank 1 side was not hot like the other one on bank 2 side so it must have something to do with that cat.. i am gona get a borescope and take a look inside it and will see whats up with it .also i just noticed the transmission netural start switch connecter is burned in this pic i had to get the truck towed a few weeks ago from the side of 75 hwy my son was driving it and stopped to tie down a load of junk and cut off the truck and then it would not start back so that was $350 to get it home .it took me a couple days to figure what was wrong with it and it turned out to be the nss switch the old one was brunt up and melted i put a new one on it and got it running so that might tell me something was wrong with the cat its close to the nss

Somthing ain't right under there.
Looks like that cat got way way way way too hot.

Cats get hot when you feed them too much fuel.

You may want to check on the fuel trims on that bank and check the injectors for damage or wear that would cause overfueling.|
Ignition issues will also cause overly rich conditions.
