Motor mounts
Any of you guys have problems with the bolt backing out of your motor mounts? I've had the drivers side bolt fall out twice in the last year. Nothing worse then blipping the throttle and feeling that "whump" when your engine jumps 3 inches up off the frame and crashes back.

LOL!! I just got back from the parking lot showing my buddy what an engine does when it has one bad motor mount. The look on his face when I put it in gear, put my foot on the brake, and touched the throttle. The engine rose up on one side a few inches and then touched back down when I let off. aaaaaaahhh, the joys of these trucks.

My mounts broke too. I had to drill the hole out and weld a nut to the back of the plate and stick a bolt throught the whole thingso the motor wouldn't jump out. I would have replaced them but I was in a hurry trying to put my engine back in after having it rebuilt. Its worked like that for a few months now with no problems.

there should be a flat thin metal piece with tabs on it that bends over the bolt head locking it in place. or possibly a worn mount threads or crusty .02 hardware store junk.

Hmmmmmm
No never had that happen before. Try using lock washers, or if you already got one, try getting another on.
