Help! It won T start!

My battery is fully charged I 've checked my starter and it's good. The starter won T make a noise at all when you turn the key. Any suggestions?

A little more info on your truck would help. Auto, manual, engine, etc....

Is it all stock or does it have modifications?

First thing I would check if it is an auto would be the Neutral Safety Switch. (try starting it in neutral)

Sorry about that. It's a 72 with a later model 305 th 350 tranny. Let me try starting in neutral.

You're a genius lock doc! Tried that before I could give more details on my truck and sure enough that was it👍

Good deal! That should be a pretty easy repair. It may just need some adjustment. If you loosen the two small screws that hold the switch to the steering column (inside at the bottom of the column) it will slide back and forth a little bit. You will have to experiment with it to see which way it will need to go.

I don't know about the genius part. I just like checking out the simplest and easiest things to repair first....

I wish I had time to do that. I started a project of listing all of the screws, bolts, and hardware when I was disassembling a truck one time but I didn't get to far with that before I gave up.
