Anyone have a crl rear window powerslider?

http://www.crlaurence.ca/crlapps/sho...lID=1470&pom=0
I am thinking of purchasing one and I can't find any pictures of how the motor and cable look Or the switch they use. Do they mount without any modifications? Anyone who could post pictures I would appreciate it.

I'm wondering why bother? The slider is 2 inches behind your head. Why add the complexity, what do you gain? More stuff to break

Re: Anyone have a crl rear window powerslider?

my newer truck has a factory one but it is also a crew cab so it isn't very feasible to open it as the driver. I really like it in that option.
I did have a manual slider in my truck years ago and it was handy.

I saw a mod one time that the entire back window went down and was power. I thought that was a pretty neat trick.

Re: Anyone have a crl rear window powerslider?

Had one in my 85. Not needed in standard cab for sure. Extended or crew cab would be nice. My dad had a glass business so I got it at cost when they were pretty new. As seen in previous post pic motor is attached to drive cable. It can be mounted to floor or lower back cab wall under window. Control is from a momentary left right rocker switch.

Re: Anyone have a crl rear window powerslider?

i have installed one in my 71 GMC works real well, easy installation. It uses a simple rocker type switch, i mounted the switch into the block off plate below the sterring column

Any pictures of how you mounted the motor and where you ran the cable?

I can you a few pictures later, basically i moved the fuel tank to the rear built a shelf and a panel to close out where the tank was and mounted it to that shelf. The cable runs down the back passenger corner. It pretty much mounts in the center of the cab aganst the back wall.
