Is a Panel frame the same as a Long wheelbase Pickup? - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I have a 68 c10 Panel Truck and want to know if I can replace the frame with one from the same year long wheelbase pickup. I know that the PU frame has different cab and bed mounts but what about the rest? I'm a little confused after searching, some say they are the same and others say no.

No, they are not the same. Panel and burb frames are more flat after axle arch and run longer to the rear bumper

Thanks for the fast reply. I found a PU frame and had to make a quick decision. The search continues....

Thanks __________________ It's not rust, it's called patina Trying to bring a 68 Panel Truck back from the dead. 396 Big Block, 4 on the floor, and a whole lot of rust.
