Is there anything out that that fits?

I thought I saw in a bedliner catalog a Ford that had an 8'5" bed which might be real close.

The only other idea I have is to get 2 (!) liners and splice them. (Ugh!)

Any suggestions?

PS. My truck is a factory BB w/AC and has a 427 in it now. However, it is definitely a work truck.

I am looking at a spray in liner for my longhorn.....she doesnt have a wood floor anymore tho.... crazyL

I Am Just Guessingt Here But That Spray In Liner Is Gonna Cost An Arm And A Leg For A Bed That Long.. Unless You Go With A Do It Youself Spray In Type Of Liner..

I put a herculiner in my 68 long bed. Used 1 gallon maybe should have used an extra quart, but still looked good. Only cost about $110 for all the supplies and only took about half the day.

Yeah, a spray in liner would be nice, however, I need the liner because structurally my bed is shot. The outside looks good but I have missing wood and just about every metal/wood joint is separated. I look like Fred Sanford if I try to haul some #1 or #2 chip stone!

The pro sprayed on liners are up to 1/4" thick. I was thinking if I patched the bed using roofing felt paper, of DUCT TAPE (I'm not kidding!) then had it sprayed, it might be good. Actually if you are going to get a wood bed sprayed, it might be a good idea to put something over the wood. I would be concerned about how dampness might be trapped in the wood if the top surface was sealed and coule not breathe.

427tom- that spray in bedliner has to adhere to metal- not duct tape or felt. It also has to be able to handle the heat when they spray it in. I took my blazer in and they said it wouldn't stick to the rust and I would need to sandblast all the rust off AND they wanted me to sign a release waver "in case" it ruined my new paint! Screw that. I used a grinder on the rust and sanded the entire tub of the blazer and used herculiner roll on liner....worked and looks great! I say if you can fix the bed right and use spray in or roll on liner....you won't regret it. Good luck to ya!

Let me put it this way, if you filled my bed up with golf balls, they would fall out all around the wheelhouses which are no longer attached to the planks. In fact, the flange on the wheel houses is totally gone - big gaps you can stick your hands thru!

Obviously, a bed liner would solve this problem!

I was at SEMA and PRI and there are spray on bed liners that are 1/4" thick. I wouldn't think these liners would care whether they stuck to anything or not. Of course, if there is not a good bond, water inevitably gets in that gap and you have massive rust out.

I suppose I could put an 8' bed liner in and just have a 6" "storage compartment" in from of the liner. Or I could just make a 6" spacer out of 2x4's and put a nice top finish on it and just give up the extra 6" of cargo capacity. I don't really need that extra 6" the way I use this truck - I wish I didn't have a Longhorn!!!

Where does one get this Herculiner stuff?? Will the Herculiner product harden? And....If I need to remove it, what is the proper method for this? Thanx!

RPOZ11- You can buy Herculiner at Schucks. I did my whole blazer for about $50. It hardens just like a spray on bedliner. Removing it is another deal....not to easy!! It really hardens and sticks to the bed of the truck. Definately almost permenant. I would think you would have to scrape it out or grind it off...not really sure. I put carpet over mine in the interior, but on a truck I think it would be a different story...you need to top coat it so it doesn't fade in the sun also.
