casting numbers

Can someone tell me what these casting numbers from a 350 represent
3914638. Or maybe some could tell me what cars or trucks this engine came in.

Deth,

Thank you for that info. That engine came out of a 1970 chevy truck, so I will assume it is the original engine. By the way it is a 327 not a 350. Do you have any idea what type of horse power it generated or is there a site that will give me that info also.

Look at the front pass. side of the block for the suffix code. Some numbers, followed by 2 or 3 letters should be stamped into a flat machined pad. Look up the suffix code here:

http://www.nastyz28.com/spmenu.html

and you should get some more specific info.

You can wish in one hand and crap in the other.
See which one gets filled first.
