Sputtering at 3000 rpm's

I have a 71 C10 350 sb Edelbrock 600 series carburetor. I was having starting problems just outta the blue, I did a tune up changed spark plugs, distributor cap, modulator, coil, mechanical fuel pump. I timed it to where it sounded fine no backfiring but when I get it up to 3000 rpm's in 2nd thru 4th (granny low) it sputters and bogs until I shift to the next gear and runs fine accelerating until it gets up to 3000 rpm's. I went back to the way it was when I bought and disconnected the vacuum advance and disconnected the auto choke but still the same. I've never had this problem since I bought it 5 years ago. Anyone run into this problem. Any suggestions?

Sounds like fuel starvation.. Check/change the fuel filter...

The electronic fuel pump I was running for 2 years went out so cashed in on lifetime warranty mechanical pump last week and reinstalled the glass filter that it was hooked up when I bought the truck. Filter is full of gas and there's no air bubbles and looks fuel clean

Sounds short on fuel for whatever reason. BUT... I'd go over the ignition first, timing and such, before touching the carb. Might not be advancing right. Good plug wires and all?

assuming your tune-up work was properly executed and quality parts were used and Not to sound condescending or hypocritical but,-- You installed an old used fuel filter, and assumed it was good to go based solely on physical appearance??? Not the best diagnostic procedure at all..

Quick and dirty method -- Install a NEW fuel filter and test drive..

Proper and extensive method -- Break out the heavy duty tools and run a pressure/delivery test.. Work backwards starting at the carburetor inlet.. This method will reveal a (1) plugged filter, (2) poorly operating fuel pump, (3) fuel line restrictions, and a (4) plugged sock filter inside the fuel tank....
