Yes I got lucky that my 1980 is a california smog truck and the 454 is also California smog and came off the same year. I got saved since they put the RPO sticker of the donor in the glove box. That’s my proof that it’s also an 1980 and was equipped with california emission. Just have to take off all the “hot rod” parts.

I’m not doubting your info but motors get changed all the time.

Do you have the info from the flat pad in front of the passenger side head.
That info will confirm your motors origin.
