GM 14 Bolt Carrier type ID help

My 68 K20 has a transplanted 14 bolt GM Corporate axle assembly in the rear. The seller told me it had a 4.10 ratio but I wanted to be sure so I pulled the cover. It does have a 4.10 but I'm not clear if this is a limited slip, locker or open carrier. Can someone educate me on what type this is.

4 pins is an open carrier and 3 is a gov-loc. 4 pin could have a detroit installed, but you'd know that by driving it

My c30 has the same setup but it's geared in 373. Still don't know what that type of carrier is called

Just a standard open carrier...splits in half when unbolted...little more convenient.

Just a heads up for those that do not know......if you split the case, look for a witness mark on the edge of the carrier that tells you where to align the unit when reassembling

This, I’ve got 2 14 bolts opened up right now on the shop floor because of a disk brake mod I’m doing. Both are open carriers just like the one pictured. You can look into the little windows and see there’s just spider gears and nothing else in there.

That was the conclusion I had come to. I seen nothing that made me think any different. Thanks!

Curious. What is the function of the bolts in the middle of the bearing caps?

If you look close, you can see a large u shaped large wire that goes into the adjusting nut and keeps it from moving
