Re: My 58 Fleetside
Bah I might have to switch transmissions now... My dream on a 250 and a 700r4 is quickly dying, a 400 trans I guess will be ok.

Re: My 58 Fleetside
So the truck made it's first maiden voyage. I drove it to work with no problems, the drive home though showed me the obvious. You can't run a electric fuel pump, a electric fan that is on constant when the engine is running with a 45 amp alt that has a broken postive stud.. I am going to get a 100 amp and try to get a fan controller that works. It was awesome driving it though!!

Re: My 58 Fleetside
Took the truck on its maiden voyage Saturday. 30 miles round trip, decided on the way home that I needed a better alt. 35 or whatever it is is NOT enough for a electric fan and fuel pump. Other than that it is shifting though all the gears. and drives really nice!

Re: My 58 Fleetside
Back in Arizona with my truck. I've got too many projects now.... The 70 GMC burb, the 80 GMC 4wd, this 58. I think one needs to be cut... Also working on a 57 2 door 210 for my dad and my son, and the wife's Chevelle.
