OEM dash pad

Selling a nice original dash pad removed from a 71 truck. It has some cracks but very straight & original. Good 4 driver or get recovered.

Asking $35 plus the ride.

Re: OEM dash pad

Evening ScottH,

I’m interested in this OEM dash pad. I’m looking to have one recovered. The upholster noted I should confirm that it has a full metal piece as the base.

Can you confirm that the metal base extends fully along the ‘c’ shaped profile, please. Also, can you post a close up pic of the end screw connection part.

Thank you!

I thought the oem dash pads had a metal base that the foam was molded to. I’m not sure if they had more than one style but the Forum member I am going to have recover the pad, indicated I should pass on a dash pad that just had metal along top and bottom edges. I didn’t think there was one like that. This is the shape of the metal base that was on my original dash. ‘C’ shaped. I just wanted to confirm the pad you had is like this, if so I’ll take it.

Re: OEM dash pad

I looked at the dash pad & it appears to only have metal strips where the screws go into it & also where the studs extend from it, foam only between them. I have no idea of how they were made but I know this has been the way others I have removed appear to have been made as well. Hope that helps.
