The second thread is using some of this data in a cut-n-paste process. Seems all very confusing.

I don't think anyone is cutting and pasting. Perhaps copy and pasting so that post one and two are reflecting the same information. If it confusing, it might be time to move to one post.

The second post is a result of a running document that gets added to when new information is available. The entire post is then updated. It was meant to be redundant until the best method was found.
