A little paranoid about giving out my serial, but to add to some value, my 71 declared May 19, 1971 is the low 1Z654500ish 654510 is too low & 654530 is to high Call it 654520. I added this (blue) to the last post above, so should be up to date. I'd like to add my 72, but wouldn't you know it's the only part of the door sticker that's toast. The truck has a build sheet but there's no pulling it out, especially with the seat in, and I doubt even that - crumbles at the slightest touch. The factory and serial on my 72 is Z146839.........Edit: That said I caught your post Taskforce, and if anything the sticker appears 3/72. Thanks to the two 72 you have recorded, it must be 2/72 or 3/72. The factory averaged 6Kish per month at the time. Cool.

Re: Build Date
FYI I started a thread dedicated to this project. It can be seen here. I will post the most recent iteration of the list as the starting point of that thread. Thanks everyone!

Re: Build Date
Does anyone reproduce the blue manufactured date decal? The one on my 72 was cracked and faded badly. Also, is the seat the only place build sheets were placed on these?

Re: Build Date
Good questions. First production units came off the line in August. Not sure what was the production numbers for each day, probably depends how many lines and shifts were working that day. Sequence start at 100001. Here is a very early production '64 built in Fremont ( H code changed to Z code in '65). First Day? First Hour?

Re: Build Date
Good point jocko. Engine blocks for example, may date a few months earlier. A '71 model year built in Sept. '70, may have an Feb, March, May '70 date on block.
