Vista Cruiser Burb?
I just picked up a 1966 Buick Sprot Wagon. It is basically the same idea as the Olds Vista Cruiser wagon, with the glass in the roof.
It made me recall that a couple of years ago someone had posted a suburban that had the roof from one of these wagons graffed on it. I by no means am thinking of ruining my burb or the wagon by doing this. I am just curious about seeing a picture of what it looked like. Thanks

What about takin' the top off of an old VW Microbus and graftin' that to a 'burb?
Yeah, I like the vista cruisers and sport wagons. Seems that TV Tommy Ivo had a Buick drag car with the sport wagon "look" to it...running multiple engines, if I recall correctly. I had a '67 Skylark, 340-4bbl, with Vari-Pitch convertor on the TH300 Tranny. Sure did like the way it performed. Bought it in '76, with less than 50K miles. Long gone, tho.

I know I may sound like a geek, but I LOVE old station wagons! A few years ago I had a 75 Chevy Estate wagon that, for being 20 years old, was in beautiful condition. Drove like a Cadillac. I sold it when I moved from Seattle to Phoenix... regretted it ever since.
Those GM wagons with the overhead windows are exceptionally cool. Nice find!

Gotta love those Vista wagons! I had a 66 Olds Vista.....wish I still had it, i have enough BB Olds parts to build 3 more engines. crazyL

Hey, is that metallic green burb yours?? I saw one the other day(three weeks ago?) cruising down I-10 east bound into Phx at the stack. Nice Suburban, couldn't catch up to it though. I guess there is a reason you don't see F-550s racin' at Indianapolis.

id keep that jewel burb , you dont see many wagons nowadays , and them old tanks had some class , that one on that 70's show is done up pretty nice , looks really clean , the first classic i can personally remember my dad owning was a 58 nomad , the only 4 door nomad , it was black with a 327 and straight pipes , dang that thing sounded good , it looked like it just rolled off the showroom floor , a kid from a few towns away bought it and wrapped it around a telephone poll about a week after having it , he was out drinkin in it , friggin idiots , sweet find burb

I wish I had a picture of it . There is a guy down by Des Moines Iowa that has done that and it was beautiful! It by no means detracted from the looks of the burb and I am a stock original kind of guy. I say go for it.If I have my camera with me next time at the swap meet I'll try and shoot some pics.

Solver, I think he's actually from the Marshalltown area. I can't recall his name off hand, he used to sell alot of reproduction stuff for 60'to 70's gm.

I thought I would ad, the wagon is for sale $1800. S. California car with the original sun baked paint. "Wildcat 375" engine. Needs total restoration. Running and driving, but it is running rich and should be rebuilt. Suspension is very tight.

68 Sub, drop a 455 in that thing! We're doing that with a Cutlass Vista Cruiser now. Those things are way cool. We're thinking maybe an overdrive, too.
