For those interested ( steering gear box)
well I installed it after I rebuilt it and it works FANTASTIC, Like a new truck.This gear box held almost a whole quart of power steering fliud.Anyway, it works great

Did you get a rebuild kit? How long did it take you? my K10's steering box needs a rebuild bad.

yea, where did you get parts? Does someone offer a kit? I have a 76 K20 that leaks pretty bad and an 85 that has stiff steering (not pump).

Sorry it took so long to reply, but yes, The O'Riely's (formerly HI/LO) had the kit. It was like 30.00 bucks and if you take your time, it should take you about 2-4 hours, Depending on how much patience and tools you have. but you should be able to get one at just about and Autoparts store
